Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was named the Associated Press Most Valuable Player after leading the league in passing yards and touchdowns, according to official results and media reports.

Stafford, 37, earned the first MVP award of his career after throwing for 4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns and guiding the Rams to the NFC Championship Game. He narrowly edged New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye in one of the closest MVP votes in recent decades and confirmed he intends to return for another season.

Other major NFL awards reflected standout performances across the league. New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel was recognized as Coach of the Year after leading the team to a 14โ€“3 record and a Super Bowl berth in his first season, while Chicago Bears guard Joe Thuney received the inaugural Protector of the Year award for offensive linemen. Washington Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner was named Walter Payton Man of the Year for his community impact initiatives.

The ceremony, hosted by actor Jon Hamm and held days before Super Bowl LX, concluded the leagueโ€™s annual NFL Awards cycle honoring individual and community achievements from the 2025 season.
