Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) announced a districtwide operational update affecting students, staff and families as officials continue to assess conditions impacting school operations, according to statements released by the school system. The update was issued this week for schools across Anne Arundel County, Maryland, following disruptions that prompted administrative review and coordination with local agencies.
AACPS said the decision was made after evaluating safety conditions, transportation access and facility readiness across the county. District leaders emphasized that student and staff safety remains the primary factor guiding operational changes.
According to AACPS officials, families were notified through official communication channels, including direct alerts and the district’s website. Schools were instructed to follow guidance issued by central administration while maintaining instructional continuity where possible.
